Inverted Love
Stanza 1
We are told
to love our enemies
And this sounds
like sitting on thorns
Maybe why
trample upon His head
And believe
we are crushing our serpent
Chorus
Do we really
mean our love?
Why despise
an old one at the expense the distant
The log on
our eye is far hurtful than the knife way
Taking off
pants is far less deadly than the pints of blood
Remember
your first love
Stanza 2
I thought
what we are is what comes out of us
Or we can conclude
that a another’s wealth is our
Aside what
we choose as a wife or decide to help
What else
beyond this is in really in tune after freedom?
Hook
They love to
be trusted but hate familiarity
And adore
comfort while breach the rule of time
How long has
it been since you proved your love
Fear of
errors from the past does not mean a conquer
Despise not
little beginnings; they’re sometimes a good reminder
